2024-08-13T14:57:59+00:00

We're working with our partners Wirral Council in October to help local people step into the future of New Brighton and Seacombe. Our two new VR experiences showcase how young people have reimagined how local areas might look in the future. Wearing a virtual reality headset, visitors to events on 14 and 15 October will be able to take a virtual reality tour along New Brighton promenade on an open top bus led by a live tour guide. They will also see what the future Seacombe might look like as [...]

How VR helped Network Rail and the Design Council engage new audiences

2024-08-13T14:58:08+00:00

We’re delighted with Network Rail and the Design Council’s evaluation of our work on their ExploreStation programme. Our shared goal was to involve as many people as possible in the development of new station designs and we hoped that the use of new technology would broaden and deepen engagement. This proved true. Our work complemented the work of other engagement specialists employing more traditional forms of engagement and one success was how seamlessly we collaborated. Our digital experts created two immersive experiences that allowed individuals to explore and navigate through new [...]

Jet pack into the Future of Farnham

2024-08-13T14:58:36+00:00

We are thrilled to be working with Surrey County Council to help people to explore the future potential of the town centre by jet pack this Summer. Virtual reality events in August will enable people to try VR for free and discover what futuristic travel in Farnham could look like, but it also has a serious mission. The aim is to encourage more people of all ages to have the chance to input into and shape the future of the place where they live, work and play. This is the [...]

ExploreStation Partnership: it’s not all about VR!

2024-08-13T14:58:45+00:00

We don’t just talk about digital: we talk about engagement. And it’s important to us that our work complements other forms of engagement - and it may surprise you to know that our events aren’t all tech, tech, tech. We ran immersive ExploreStation events in York, Shildon, Manchester, Hereford and Paisley as part of Network Rail and the Design Council’s UK-wide engagement. This work ran alongside social media engagement via the Commonplace platform and community round-table events run by The Glass-House. Collectively we ensured we engaged with a wide demographic - [...]
