How can VR help engage new audiences?
“Playful and joyful experiences” that increase “appeal and makes people want to have conversations with each other, as well as responding to the engagement.”

We are absolutely thrilled with the positive feedback we received for our collaboration with the Design Council and Network Rail through the ExploreStation programme.
This innovative engagement initiative aimed to involve as many people as possible in the development of new station designs.
Our team of digital experts created two enjoyable experiences that allowed individuals to explore and navigate through the station designs, giving them a feel for different times of day and weather conditions.
Throughout the span of 11 days and across 5 different locations, we had the pleasure of hosting 630 visitors who collectively spent over 105 hours participating in our virtual reality experiences.
We received 308 feedback forms and had numerous conversations with the participants.
The report emphasises the important role our work played, working alongside other engagement specialists and employing more traditional forms of engagement.
Our efforts effectively reached out to a younger and more diverse demographic, while also involving individuals with limited knowledge of design concepts and technical expertise. This enabled them to engage with the design process and contribute to shaping better travel experiences.
By utilising this exciting new technology, organisations can not only lead the way but also achieve their goals of engaging a wide-ranging audience.
“The dedication to designing and hosting an experience that feels different to traditional ways of engaging sends a message about the organisation’s dedication to sharing with, and hearing from, as wide a range of people as possible.”
We are currently developing many exciting virtual reality experiences that are helping local councils in the UK connect with a wider range of people and make the most of the additional advantages that virtual engagement offers.
