RHS Tatton
We have run two fabulous virtual reality installations at RHS Tatton! One of these was in partnership with TFGM where we took hundreds of people on a tram ride and then through a meadow – including television personality Jo Whiley.
Our second installation, our Well-Beeing experience invited hundreds more people to become a bee and enjoy a meadow through the vantage point of a buzzing bee, exploring a meadow, finding flowers and avoiding predators. Participants enjoyed the experience on a buzzing ‘floating’ chair with a beautiful hand-painted wild flower backdrop which immersed them in the experience even before they had put on a headset. And we had aromas diffusing during their experiences to further immerse participants.
Feedback for both experiences was incredible. We showed that immersive experiences are newsworthy and draw and engage a wide audience – old and young alike. And we engaged people in the important message about the importance of bees to our society and the need to provide more wild flower ‘Well-Beeing’ spaces ensuring food and habitats for the bees.
