Transport for Greater Manchester

We were delighted to work on a large active travel community engagement event with Urmston in Greater Manchester’s Trafford borough with Transport for Greater Manchester, TfGM.

We worked with highways engineers to create a virtual reality experience to exacting levels of detail, showcase what people could experience on main roads before and after active travel interventions such as dutch bus stops, pedestrianised areas, widened pavements, cycle lanes and more.

The installation enabled the local authority to engage widely and it was the first time we engaged with visually impaired participants and with deaf participants – which is how we learned the importance of putting the words THE END at the end of virtual reality events. Always learning!
