Watford Green Loop
Having created a digital twin and demonstrated the capability of immersive tech at an internal open day at Watford Borough Council, we identified an opportunity to use the model as part of the consultation on the proposed cycle loop, the ‘Green Loop’.
We created a VR experience and built a rickshaw so that three people could enjoy the experience simultaneously. We also created an urban explorer gamepad version to make it easier for non-experts, including members of the public, to explore the area at their own pace.
We took the rickshaw on tour to the high street as part of a sports event; at Watford’s fantastic skate park. We also visited a local school so we could capture feedback from a diverse demographic of Watford’s younger population.
Our immersive tools offered an engaging and intuitive way for users of all ages and technical abilities to interact with the proposals, fostering wider community involvement.
They also provided a fun and engaging way for the community to experience the proposed developments, making it easier for the client to gather meaningful feedback.
