After a fantastic reception at this year’s Spring Beekeeping Convention, we’re giving visitors another chance to try our VR Bee Game, an event-based, immersive experience that lets you see the world through the eyes of a young honeybee.
To make the experience both engaging and accurate, we collaborated closely with experienced beekeepers during development. Their insight shaped everything from the structure of the hive to the way bees behave and communicate. It was important to us that, while the experience is playful and accessible, it also reflects the real-world challenges bees face in their daily lives.
Whether it’s avoiding invasive species, foraging for information, or racing back to the hive before the rain hits, players get a feel for the delicate balance bees navigate in our ecosystems.
What’s the Experience?
🧭 Step Into a Bee’s World
Take flight as a young honeybee on her first journey outside the hive.
🎈 Learn as You Fly
Pop floating bubbles to uncover quick, engaging facts about pollination, biodiversity, and the vital role of bees in the environment.
⚠️ Avoid the Hazards
Watch out for invasive Asian hornets, and don’t get caught in the rain—you’ll need to race back to the hive before the weather turns.

Where to Find It
You can try the experience at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester on 15–16 April. We’re also previewing it for the Home England office in Newcastle today (10/04/2025).
